The 5 2 diet is diet to stick to a healthy 2000 calories for five days straight, and then fasting on no more than 500 calories for two days. Layman term on this kind of this diet plan is that you can still treat yourself and lose the pounds!
For some this plan can get confusing as you need to be cautious for your daily calories intake, means the measurement should be done for every meal during breakfast, lunch and dinner time. You still allowed to have a leisure time to enjoy an evening or late-night snack or event three times meal plus three times snack times a day as long as you make sure the calories amount.

Breakfast

Lunch
160 cals from Tesco’s broccoli and stilton soup, cheese to treat and added amount 228 cal

Dinner
Sausage dinner with roasted ratatouille comes at 262 calories

Total intake for the whole day is 490 calories
